Weekend Betting – ‘Why my money is going on Olivier Ntcham,’ Niall J

Celtic return to action this weekend and opponents Ross County could well be about to feel the backlash from Celtic’s International break frustration come crashing down around them.

Celtic’s defeat at Livingston would have been something the players would have been looking to get out the system immediately. With an unwanted break coming to an end, I’m banking on the hunger being even more evident. Plenty of these players will be desperate to get let off the leash and right a few wrongs from the Tony Macaroni. Time to back goals aplenty!

An early goal in this one from a side fast out the traps could see an avalanche of goals rain down on the Dingwall side.

Celtic are 11/4 to score in the first 10 minutes. Get on this and get in your seat early to catch it.

Celtic (-3 goals) on the handicap is 7/2 with Betfair and that bet is carrying my cash on Saturday at 3pm.

In the Goalscorer markets, with Ryan Christie suspended its likely Olivier Ntcham will play the more advanced role in the midfield three. His ideal position in my mind and he seems to perform far better at Celtic Park than on the road.

The grumpy Frenchman will see this game as his opportunity to show his worth, while Ryan Christie kicks his heels in the stand.

I expect the real Olivier Ntcham to turn up. As first scorer he is 13/2 also with Betfair. I’d suggest hoovering that price now as by the time the teams are announced it’s bound to be shorter than that.

To score 2 or more goals Ntcham is 12/1 this time with Betfred. In a day of expected goals that’s also worth a small wager.

Away from the Celtic Park fixture the Scottish Premiership ties look very tight indeed. On Saturday I see an opportunity on the ‘draws’ market for our first accumulator.

Draw @ 13/5 Hamilton Academical v Hibernian

Draw @ 12/5 Kilmarnock v Livingston

Draw @ 23/10 Motherwell v Aberdeen

Draw @ 23/10 St Mirren v St Johnstone

132/1 at £10 returns a brilliant £1332.93. Once again that one is with Betfred. Not one for massive stakes but this weekend’s games looks like very close encounters and it’s worth a small play.

We are looking beyond the Scottish league for Saturday’s Big Acca. This 7 team accumulator pays around 33/1 with most of the High Street and online bookmakers.

Leicester City @ 3/5 (Leicester City v Burnley)

Wolverhampton Wanderers @ 17/20 (Wolverhampton Wanderers v Southampton)

Afc Bournemouth @ 8/11 (Afc Bournemouth v Norwich City)

Swansea City @ 10/11 (Barnsley v Swansea City)

Leeds United @ 4/9 (Leeds United v Birmingham City)

Fulham @ 7/5 (Stoke City v Fulham)

West Bromwich Albion @ 21/20 (Middlesbrough v West Bromwich Albion)

As ever we’ll post this on the Celtic Noise forum. If you haven’t already signed up it’ll take you less than a minute to do so. You can then post your own fancies and get everyone else’s top tips too or indeed just join in the debate.

If you are having a bet. Please bet responsibly of course. It should only ever be a bit of fun.

Good luck Fholks!

As a Bellshill Bhoy I was taken to my first Celtic game in the summer of 1987. It was Billy McNeill’s return to Celtic Park as manager and Celtic lost 5-1 to Arsenal . I thought I was a jinx, I think my Grandfather might have thought the same. It was the finest gift anyone ever gave me when he walked me through Parkhead's gates.
