This may have been the day that many were dreading, but the draw with Dundee United means this is a chance to start afresh and actually build towards next season.
John Kennedy is still stuck in that awkward spot where he’s potentially building the team towards next season where he won’t be around, so he has to look after his own reputation as well.
One of the biggest accusations this season against the experienced players is that they haven’t turned up in the biggest games, so there’s a chance for a few to put this right today:

There are a few interesting takeaways from this – Bain starts despite Barkas being fit to play so that’s a damning indictment on the Greek keeper, while this could also be a chance for Laxalt to impress and show that he deserves to be kept on next season.
One of the main talking points among the fans online this season has revolved around Soro – He tends to impress when he plays and he was one of the few players to come out of the last game against the Rangers with any credit, so his energy could’ve been useful today.
Realistically he was never going to start over Brown and at least this looks like an attacking line up, but there’s still a lot of discontent over the decision to keep Soro on the bench:
