Where’s Odin? Thiago Holm mystery deepens as Celtic release squad photo

The mystery of Odin Thiago Holm deepens as Celtic release squad photo and there’s no sign of the Norwegian midfielder or indeed of James McCarthy, Celtic’s Invisible Man!

The mystery surrounding Celtic midfielder Odin Thiago Holm deepened even further today when eagle eyed supporters spotted that he was absent from a recent squad photoshoot. Fans were left puzzled as the Norwegian youngster was nowhere to be seen in the squad photos that were released today.

Odin signed for the club last summer and was highly regarded in not only his native Norway, but in European circles also. We got a glimpse of that ourselves in his few appearances he made last season, and he looked very accomplished young player, and while not making a big impact, he looked decent and was very much thought of as one for the future.

It was expected that the 21 year old would make his presence felt this season after a full year at the club under his belt, but it now seems he’s not in the plans of Brendan Rodgers. Left out of the European list, and not even featuring in the match day squads tells you what Brendan thinks of a player who he knows has ability but has never done enough for the manager’s liking.

But we have to ask why? Is it a personality issue? Or does Brendan just simply not rate him as good enough for his Celtic team? Either way it doesn’t look good for Odin.

As for James McCarthy, the hide and seek champion three years in a row, well, he’s missing too. Maybe someone next up from the fan media should ask Brendan about these two players at his media conference later today…
