Celtic has turned down approaches from clubs in Germany and France for Luis Palma as it’s now clear that the club are NOT looking to sell the Honduran International forward in this transfer window.
Yesterday Celtic apparently rejected a £10m approach for Reo Hatate, according to Stephen McGowan at the Scottish Daily Mail. Now today it’s Anthony Joseph from Sky Sports who reports on attempts to sign Luis Palma that have been rejected by Celtic.
Anthony Joseph reports:
‘Celtic have knocked back approaches from clubs in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 for winger Luis Palma. It’s understood the Hoops are not looking to sell the Honduras international in this window.
Palma, 24, joined Celtic last summer from Aris’
Palma posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account at the weekend , fuelling rumours that he was not going to be part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans for this season and would be moved on either in this window or in January, which obviously could still be the case.
Otherwise the Instagram message had nothing at all to do with his situation in the Celtic squad. Hopefully that is the case as Palma has shown that he is more than capable in the Champions League.
No further news on the three incoming signing expected before the window closes tomorrow evening. We’ll be heading down to Celtic Park later this afternoon for the Champions League draw and there will be a chance to catch up with some of the players for their reaction. Maybe we’ll pick up some gossip too!

Personally don’t believe that Palma will be in the longer term plans of Rodgers at present imo?
Yet we have put ourselves in a position where we can’t afford to be losing any more players either?
Especially a player like Palma who has been able to produce for ourselves at CL level, and in matches to date?
Might not be regarded as an automatic starter, but still a very decent squad player that we still will require in our finalised squad all the same?
Still uncertain as to whether yang will keep hold of his current wide position within our 25man squad at present, and wouldn’t be to surprised if another late deal might be in the offering for ourselves still?
Palma has shown that he is more than capable in the Champions League???? Where? He hasn’t even shown he is capable in the SPFL! Miss after miss in every match. He is never a back up to Daizen Maeda. Like Haksabanovic, he’s too one dimensional. Get rid, and sign another back up.
He scored against goals in the home games last season, one was unlucky to be ruled offside. Not a single Lazio player called for it.
