Sky Sports reporter confirms QPR in talks over Celtic target from Liverpool

Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph has confirmed that QPR are in talks with Liverpool over a deal for Owen Beck. Joseph has said that the London club are interested in a loan deal for Beck whilst Celtic remain interested in a permanent deal.

Speaking on Twitter/X, Joseph stated that a number of clubs are interested in the player.

Beck impressed while under the management of Tony Docherty at Dundee last season. So much so that his strong performances took him back to Anfield for Jurgen Klopp to review the Welshman himself. The player benefited from an injury crisis along the backline and was a substitute in a win over Bournemouth.

Celtic have held an interest in the player and have reportedly been told that the fee required for his services on a permanent basis is £3m. This probably might represent a slightly lower fee than the actual sum but it represents a ball park figure. Celtic will likely have a few options that they’re keen on bringing into the club and it’ll be interesting to see if there’s anything else in this one.
