Watch a delighted Brendan Rodgers after thrilling win against Kilmarnock

BRENDAN RODGERS couldn’t hide his delight in the past match interview with Celtic TV after a dramatic injury time winner from captain Scott Brown propelled the Champions eight points clear of the Rangers who could only draw with St Johnstone yesterday at Ibrox.

‘Sick as a Parrot,’ Steven Gerrard was quick to throw in the towel as far as his side’s league hopes were concerned but some of his new club’s supporters were clinging to the hope that Kilmarnock could do them a favour this afternoon.

They must have been sick watching Scott Brown’s shot, which looked to be going miles over the bar, being deflected off a Killie arm and into the net for a strange goal but one that is hugely significant in the destination of the title.

It’s now more a matter of WHEN Celtic wrap up 8IAR rather than IF they will…

Here’s what Brendan had to say after today’s 1-0 win at Rugby Park…
