Gumny to Celtic for £5.8m? Encouraging news Breaking in Poland

TRANSLATED from Polish by Google this tweet reads something like this…

£5.8 million for Lech and Robert Gumny’s five-year contract, apparently agreement reached with Celtic!

So has Neil Lennon got himself a right back? Gumny was rumoured to be heading for Italy but none of the interested sides, from the bottom half of Serie A, where able to meet the asking price.

Gumny has been a long term target for Celtic but he looked to be going to the Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach last January only for the deal to fall through due to an issue with his medical.

Now though Celtic could be about to win the race for the 21 year old right back.

Lech Poznan were looking for £6million for the player. If this report is correct Celtic have agreed to pay slightly less at £5.8million and on the same day Fraser Forster comes back to the club on a season long loan.

Hopefully this turns out to be correct. Fingers crossed.
