Video – Former Celt Virgil van Dijk surprises Liverpool superfan working at Asda

VIRGIL VAN DIJK made this Liverpool’s fans day at work very special indeed. David, the Liverpool fan, works at Asda collecting the trolleys and devotes his time, energy and resources to supporting the European Champions home and away.

His brother wrote to one of the Liverpool sponsors Nivea Men and they came up with a novel way to put their cash to good effect by giving the fan a day he will remember for the rest of his life. Liverpool FC tweeted this video today and already it’s had over 25,000 likes already.

The former Celtic Star plays his part perfectly, understanding what supporting teams like Liverpool and indeed Celtic mean to their supporters.

David has been invited to Anfield as a VIP guest of the sponsors for a game over the Christmas period and they will also fund his costs of going to away games for the rest of the season. Well done to all involved.
