Jack Ross eyes ending ten-year wait for Parkhead win

HIBS manager Jack Ross has said that his team have the potential to go to Celtic Park and hurt the Scottish Champions. The game on Sunday will pit two of the in-form teams of the league together, with both going into the game after good results last weekend.

As reported by Edinburgh Live, the former Sunderland boss believes that his side can end the ten year wait for a win at Celtic Park. Ross reckons that he has the strike force to hurt Neil Lennon’s men tomorrow afternoon.

“I know how Neil is and how his players will be, they’ll believe if they play well they’ll go on and win the game,” he said.

“They deserve to be able to approach it like that because they’re the champions.

“But I think they will be respectful of the challenge they face from us as well because of our record and performances this season. It’s a nice place to be going into this game, knowing we have things in our armoury that could potentially hurt the champions.”

Hibs gave Celtic a boost last weekend when they drew with Rangers at Easter Road. This game will serve as a warning to Neil Lennon and the rest of the team that the Hibees have the ability to score goals and put teams under pressure.

Hibs could leapfrog Celtic with a win at Paradise – where they haven’t won since January 2010 when Danny Galbraith’s 92nd minute winner inflicted a shock 2-1 defeat over Tony Mowbray’s side. Ross has come close in previous visits to Celtic Park – with Alloa and St Mirren in Brendan Rodgers’ first season proving that he is not scared to go and try and attack Celtic.
