PRESIDENT-ELECT JOE BIDEN will continue to endorse and celebrate his Irish roots when he is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States of America by continuing to use the Secret Service codename ‘CELTIC‘. Whilst Kennedy was ‘Lancer’ and Obama was ‘Renegade’, Biden will derive his name from Ireland, sharing his name with the Scottish Champions.
The Scranton-born Biden has family back in Ballina as well as Derry but maintains a strong connection with his Irish heritage, despite having served as a Senator, Vice President and now, the next President of the USA.
Joe Biden’s official Secret Service codename is ‘Celtic’.

A brilliant tribute by an Irish news channel was released, shortly after the news that he would be the next President, replacing Donald Trump.
Thank you, Ireland. What a beautiful tribute to Joe Biden. 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/5GhRErVz0Y

Congratulations to the President-elect, a man that has spent an entire career of public service, helping fight against apartheid in South Africa, segregation in the United States, war crimes in the Balkans and domestically, supporting education and health care.
Elsewhere, Celtic will be needing a big result at Fir Park today as the Scottish Champions have been struggling to get into their groove so far this season.
The moment when @NickBryantNY asked @JoeBiden for a quick word.
He replied with a smile, “The BBC? I’m Irish.” #PresidentElect #Election2020 pic.twitter.com/gjsLCxmlLq
