Transfer latest: Celtic about to announce signing of their new Number 7

CELTIC are about to announce that they have competed the deal with Paris Saint Germain to sign striker Odsonne Edouard on a permanent contract. The player impressed while at the Scottish Champions last term in his season long loan.

Celtic had an option to buy the player which is valid until the end of this week and Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell has now concluded the deal with the French side which will see the player join Celtic – and be given the famous Number 7 jersey.

The agreement reached last summer with PSG was believed to involve a transfer fee of £7m but Brendnan Rodgers later denied that the figure was that much. However with various add ons for Champions League Qualification and a sell-on clause very likely to be part of the deal, it is fair and reasonable to believe PSG could earn around £10million from this transfer.

So it is no longer a question of IF but WHEN the signing will be announced and it is likely to happen in the next day or so.
