All Celtic’s pre-Champions League Qualifying matches revealed

CELTIC have released further details on their pre-season plans and this will include three friendly matches in Austria as Brendan Rodgers prepares for the crucial Champions League Qualifying campaign which kicks off mid-July.

Celtic start by playing SK Vorwarts Steyr on Wednesday, 27 June – that match kicks off at 5.30pm UK time) and will take place at the Life Radio Arena in Steyr. SK Vorwarts Steyr were promoted last season so now are a second tier side.

Then on Saturday, 30 June, the Austrian tour continues and Celtic’s opponents will be the Czech side Bohemians 1905. This friendly will take place at the Huber Arena in the Austrian town of Wels and will start at 2pm. Prague based Bohemians play in green and white stripes – so it will be a Hoops versus Stripes match. Bohemians finished seventh in the top Czech division last term.

The third and final game in Austria takes place on Tuesday 3 July and this time Celtic will face Sparta Prague. The game will take place at the Stallinger Financial Planning Arena in Rohrbach and the friendly kicks off at 4.30pm. Sparta Prague finished fifth in the Czech league last season.

Celtic then move on to Dublin to play Shamrock Rovers on Saturday 7 July at the Tallaght Stadium (kick off is 3pm) before turning their attention to the Champions League qualifiers a few days later.

All kick off times mentioned are Celtic Park times.
