Video: Ange reflects on missed opportunity against Dundee United

Ange Postecoglou has reflected on today’s draw with Dundee United. More dropped points for Celtic as Liel Abada’s early header was cancelled out by Harke. The Australian manager said that his side created chances to win a few games but were unlucky not to grab a second goal.

Celtic were passive for large parts of the game. The manager is missing key players like McGregor and Kyogo and that was flagged up at various moments. Celtic will need to regroup and quickly as Bayer Leverkusen head for Glasgow next Thursday.

Celtic need to find a way to navigate their way through these games with injury concerns as we currently sit 6th in the league after seven games. It is not good enough for Celtic. The manager and his staff will know this and can only hope that this result will spur them on to a winning run in all competitions.

  1. Too many excuses being made. Injuries? Hitting the bar? Creating chances? Balls across the goal? All means nothing ten points from 7 matches, 6 behind the leaders. Dead Man Walking. Worse than Tony Mowbray. Whether we like to admit it he is finished and that is the reality. This group of cowards do not have the bottle to turn this around. away trips to Aberdeen, Motherwell and Hibs coming up where we could feasibly get nothing. I was convinced he would be gone by February but it might be Christmas. The board wasted months hanging on to Lennon. He should have been sacked by November as the writing was on the wall. They will not want to make the same mistake again. He will not get time. Beating St Mirren, down to 10, and Dundee, bottom of the league 6-0 means absolutely nothing. Woeful start. Bad performances. Poor team. Ajeti, Trnbull and McCarthy. Good God. What have we become? A laughing stock.
