He’s become one of Celtic’s best players ever since his introduction to the starting XI, and even more so under Ange – there is no denying that David Turnbull is quality.
His goal against Ferencvaros was not one of his usual quality, but they all count. The midfielder scuffed the ball and then slid it in, but he won’t care one bit.
His other goals this season could be worthy of a goal of the season compilation – and few pundits have picked up on it.
Namely Alan Hutton, who has waxed lyrical about the former Motherwell midfielder to Football Insider.
He’s got some strike on him.

There is likely to be big, big interest in the Wishaw-born midfielder soon – let’s just hope he is with us for a long time rather than not…
Disagree with that view.
Turnbull has certainly talent but I reserve judgement re his desire to do spadework in the big games.
He is what we used to call in the days of yore a hanky ball player.A player who given space will shine.
I hope he proves me wrong
Jota and McGregor are the real deal whatever the opposition.
He certainly is no Paul McStay or Tommy Burns.
