Reo Hatate is apparently ready for first team action after the international break. Hopefully he’s raring and ready to go against Dundee next Saturday and of course Feyenoord in the Champions League a week on Tuesday.
Having Reo back is a great boost for the side and more importantly the transfer window is now shut so the speculation surrounding a move for the Japanese international will also be silenced for the time being at least.
The speculation of a move away was clearly affecting him, that is mainly the reason he was benched by Brendan for the opening couple of games of the season. There really can be no other reasonable explanation. Reo is one of the most if not best talented players in the country. He is a fantastic talent and if and when Brendan gets his head in the right frame of mind he will be a very valuable asset to our midfield this season, as he was over the past season and a half under Ange Postecoglou.
Reo has everything to succeed at the top level, he has the touch, the skill, he can pass and he can find the back of the net. He can become the complete midfielder under Brendan. Let’s hope with the transfer speculation put to bed, Reo can continue to flourish at Celtic.
And hopefully there will be news shortly of a new contract being signed not only by Reo Hatate but also by his teammate Matt O’Riley, who is equally deserving of a new and improved deal.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
Some foreign players are owned by companies agents work for company like most profit is the only issue they will have a big percentage of players wages players years ago from south america are owned as young as 11years of age so its not the player that push for move as most people blame
A great boost for ourselves.
Turnbull just doesn’t cut it in these bigger games, and fail to see where he is going to provide anything towards our cause at CL level.
So with hatate back, and hopefully Paulo can help provide us far better strength and options available in the midfield area.
Unsure still if Holm or iwata will fill our places in the midfield area for the CL, but certainly looking better than where we were a few weeks ago.
These improved contracts, I feel are only really about giving the player involved more and better options, and covers the club in getting a better fee should they want to move on.
Don’t read into them to much myself, just content enough to have kept hold of players that could provide us having a big impact within the CL.
Certainly hatate has the ability to provide that amongst others who have signed on to longer deals, hopefully hatate and Oreily will follow suit also.
