A Pass to Paradise Treat then Scottish Cup task for Fran Alonso’s League Cup Winners

There’s no Celtic first team action until a week on Monday but this weekend there are a couple of opportunities to get your much needed Hoops fix on Sunday when Tommy McIntyre’s Celtic B team take on Caledonian Braves.

So if you are a Celtic season ticket holder missing your football fix, and let’s face it who isn’t, then check your in-box and clear your diary for an unexpected 3pm kick off this Sunday.

Celtic have announced another of those added benefits that we were all perhaps somewhat suspicious of actually materialising – Fool me once and all that!

However true to their word Celtic have announced Tommy McIntyre’s B Team encounter with Caledonian Braves will be shown on the Pass to Paradise. With dark nights and dreadful weather, there really is no reason to brave those elements whatsoever this Sunday/

Instead log in and watch tomorrow’s stars such as Owen Moffat, Rocco Vata and Bosun Lawal and allow that lack of footballing gloom to be lifted entirely. The young Celts currently sit in fifth place in the Lowland League and are breathing down the necks of theRangers only three points ahead in the table.

Gerry McCulloch and Willie McStay will take you through the game itself on commentary duties and there will be a pre-game review of the season so far with Louise Gould.

And if you want to see Celtic’s League Cup winners from December in action then you can actually do that on Sunday. No it’s not Ange Postecoglou and the Bhoys, instead it’s Fran Alonso’s League Cup winning Ghirls who kick-off 2022 with a Scottish Cup tie away to Edinburgh City Women at Forester’s Park in Tranent, Edinburgh. The match kicks-off at 2.30pm and admission is just £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Like Ange’s team, Fran has one trophy safely located in the Celtic trophy cabinet and is on the hunt for another two, although both managers have ground to make up in the league. It can be done though, believe!

Now you have just enough time to change any weekend plans. Get to it! Enjoy the Celtic B team on your Pass to Paradise or if you fancy going to a game it’s a chance to get in on the Celtic FC Women action, where there’s never a dull moment! Best of luck to both Celtic sides playing this Sunday!

As a Bellshill Bhoy I was taken to my first Celtic game in the summer of 1987. It was Billy McNeill’s return to Celtic Park as manager and Celtic lost 5-1 to Arsenal . I thought I was a jinx, I think my Grandfather might have thought the same. It was the finest gift anyone ever gave me when he walked me through Parkhead's gates.
