Adam Idah’s emotional Celtic tribute but no mention of future

Adam Idah has paid an emotional tribute to Celtic as the striker’s loan deal comes to an end. The Irishman scored the winner in Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final win over Rangers but will head back to the Championship and await a summer of transfer speculation.

Taking to Instagram, Idah shared a compilation of his best moments in a Celtic shirt since arriving from Norwich as he thanked the club but made no mention of his future plans.

Idah clearly loved his time and the club and the rumour is that both Brendan Rodgers and the player are keen on Idah’s return to the Scottish Champions. There is a rumoured £6m valuation from the Canaries for Idah, a figure that would represent good value for the club given his impressive displays since joining the Hoops.

Since arriving from Norwich to fairly muted respons, the Irishman scored nine goals and assisted once to completely change the opinion of the Celtic support. The 23-year-old has been excellent, scoring massive goals away from home.

Hopefully we will see the return of Idah in the summer as Celtic prepare for the new season and the challenge of retaining their trophies, regaining the League Cup and competing in Europe.
