Video: Wayne Rooney makes Celtic transfer admission

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has admitted that he wished that he could’ve played for Celtic. Speaking to Gary Neville on the Overlap, Rooney admitted that he would have picked a move to Celtic if he could have.

The Englishman enjoyed a remarkable career as one of their greatest talents; however, he had a soft spot for Celtic after previously attending a Celtic Rangers game at Ibrox.

Rooney scored an incredible 253 goals and contributed with 139 assists in 559 appearances for United. The talismanic forward was integral for Sir Alex Ferguson in the late noughties and early 2010s.
