AEK Athens v Celtic – Dembele to start on bench

BRENDAN RODGERS has confirmed that Moussa Dembele will be on the bench tomorrow for the vital Champions League 3rd Round second leg in Athens.

With the tie level at 1-1 Celtic need to score to keep the tie alive and Dembele’s appearance on the flight yesterday was a major boost to the boss, the players and the support.

But the French Under 21 star is not quite ready to start and will be used as the game progresses.

Celtic have plenty in their locker to worry this AEK side whose recent home record in European football is poor. If Celtic play to their potential we should win this game.

In other news neither Scott Brown nor Naismith will face any SFA action after the game at the weekend. Kicking an opponent is now allowed in the Scottish game.
