Albania’s President Ilir Meta receives very special Celtic gift to celebrate 3-0 win over the Rangers

Former Celtic defender Rudi Vata was back in Tirana today and popped in to see the Head of State, Albania’s President Ilir Meta who is of course alongside Rudi himself a founding member of the Albanian Celtic Supporters Club. Rudi was delivering a gift from a mutual friend to the President – a new Celtic scarf – and the Head of State was absolutely delighted to receive his new scarf.

“Very happy with the surprise visit today by the legend of the Albania Team & Celtic FC Rudi Vata. He made my day even more with the special gift he brought me on the occasion of Celtic winning the Glasgow derby and climbing into 1st place, a personalised scarf with the symbols of our beloved team. Thank you Rici, our friend for this gift! ALWAYS NUMBER ONE! HAIL HAIL!”

The Europa Conference League Final is being held in Tirana on 25 May (yes that’s right, the 25th of May) and can you imagine the scenes if tens of thousands of Celtic supporters are there to cheer on the Hoops! And with the President of Albania leading his nation in supporting Celtic it would be an incredible experience all round. Come on let’s do this Celtic!

Here’s the Unique Angle from the game from last Wednesday that resulted in the President of Albania receiving his very own personalised Celtic scarf – doesn’t it look brilliant?
