All The Attention Is On Ibrox But The Next Game Is Always The Biggest At This Stage

Many pundits, the media and indeed Celtic fans have all been casting an eye towards the weekend’s Glasgow Derby fixture. Celtic must win the game to claw back the title. However, victory at Ibrox would be in vein if we were to lose against Dundee United tomorrow. With that in mind, we need to take each game as it comes and get the business done in Paradise.

Every game is win or bust at this stage of proceedings. Therefore, the next game is always the biggest of the season.

Dundee United have endured indifferent form this season. The Arabs have won just one game in their last five, though they have had some credible results in that run such as a narrow 2-1 defeat to the Rangers and a 1-1 draw with Hibernian. In that sense, they will be no pushover.

The Hoops struggled in the reverse fixture up at Tannadice and relied on a late goal from Albian Ajeti to make sure of the points. United were without top marksman, Lawrence Shankland that afternoon, but they will have him in the team tomorrow. Celtic need to be on their guard to keep the Scottish striker quiet.

On the flip side, the Bhoys have now put together five wins on the spin. The team is looking fresh with the new introductions of Turnbull, Soro, Hazard and Griffiths. A new 4-4-2 formation has paid dividends and Neil Lennon’s men know that nothing less than a win will do.

With a strong team available, including the return of Christopher Jullien, Neil Lennon will be expecting to claim the three points.

Coverage of the match is exclusive to Celtic TV and kick off is at the unusual time, for a midweek match, of 3pm.
