Ange Postecoglou and the form Celtic have to find

Listen below to Ange Postecoglou speaking to the media after yesterday’s 0-0 draw at Easter Road. That interview was obviously before the game at Ibrox where theRangers surrendered a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Motherwell. There is a level of exasperation in what Ange is saying but it’s more to do with the commentary from outside of the club rather than anything that his players or he himself has been talking about.

On this Monday morning we can look back on a European hangover for both title challengers and of course there will be no more of those For Celtic until next season. Remember Celtic’s brilliant run to Seville, anyone remember where all three domestic honours ended up that season? We’ve fulfilled another tough away fixture – one where Celtic have seldom won in recent seasons in the league – and no ground was lost with theRangers now having one less home game to play.

Celtic now need to rediscover the art of scoring – that’s two games without a goal – and a win on Wednesday against St Mirren at Celtic Park is absolutely essential ahead of the trip to Livingston on Sunday. They won 4-0 at Dundee on Saturday and Celtic have dropped 5 points from 6 against them this season, failing to score a single goal.

Livingston know how Celtic play and Celtic know how Livingston will set up to prevent Celtic getting any joy. Cracking that particular nut might be the key to title joy. So there’s plenty for Ange and the players to be talking about today when they sit down to analyse the weekend’s match and look forward to this week’s action against St Mirren and Livingston.
