Ange Postecoglou named manager of the month

Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been named the Premier League manager of the month for August. The Australian sees his Spurs side top of the league after a successful August that saw his new team collect ten points from a possible twelve.

Celtic fans were left disappointed went the manager was lured to the Premier League but no-one could blame him, especially given the success that he brought. It is good to see him doing well in England.

The 58-year-old enjoyed enormous success in his two years as Celtic manager before the draw of the Premier League took him to London. Despite arriving as an unknown quantity, Ange developed Celtic into an incredible attacking outfit, winning five out of a possible six domestic trophies and doing so with fluid, attractive football.

Postecoglou has had an initial impact at Spurs with fans fawning over his humble personality and razor-sharp wit. Big wins with Spurs against Man United and Burnley have fans wondering if he is the answer to their prayers. Time will tell and his success will reflect well on Celtic.
