Arrest Development after alleged attack on Priest

A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with the alleged assault of a priest outside a Glasgow church.

It comes after Canon Thomas White, 43, was allegedly targeted in a sectarian attack outside St Alphonsus’ church earlier in July.

The incident occurred in Saturday, 7 July during the Grand Orange march through Glasgow and attracting all sorts of low life and hangers on.

Celtic supporters have urged the club to include Canon Thomas White in the flag day celebrations at the start of next month as the club’s unveiling of the Premiership flag for the seventh consecutive season.
