Artist gifts psychedelic portrait of Ange Postecoglou to Celtic manager

Artist gifts his stunning portrait of Ange Postecoglou to Celtic manager…

I’ve commented before on the variety and high quality of work produced by so many talented people across the Celtic family, many of whom will be familiar to those on the social media platforms. Great examples of that would be the wonderful retro Celtic Curio ‘icons’ series, Highland Paddy’s excellent photo artwork, Jo Whitby’s original drawings of historic moments and Chris over at Concept Canvases, whose incredible process can be watched on videos.

So many out there doing wonderful things, too many to mention individually.

I recently had the pleasure of seeing a very special and original piece of Celtic art, made even more special by the fact that the artist was related, indeed he was a Corr. Michael Corr is my cousin’s son-in-law, and he is the real deal.

He got in touch to say that he had completed a portrait of Ange Postecoglou and wanted to pass it on to the Celtic manager as a gift. We arranged for Michael and his family to come into Celtic Park and join me in a tour of the stadium (photo below), following which we took some very special photographs then handed the portrait in to be passed on to Ange.

Hopefully, the Celtic manager will be delighted to receive this unique piece of art.

I think it’s wonderful, but you can judge for yourself HERE  where you can check out Michael’s stunning portfolio including of course his Ange Postecoglou painting and a stunning painting of the late, great  former Beatle John Lennon. You can also follow Michael on Twitter @michaelcorrart.

Hail hail,
