Celtic fans are renowned for their support in Europe. The travelling numbers, atmosphere and behaviour of the Celtic faithful has been credited many times in the past. Whilst, UEFA have tended to take a different view in recent times, mainly due to the governing body’s opposition to the use of pyrotechnics.
However, UEFA were among the admirers last night as the Green Brigade pre-match display was very well received. The group’s Twitter page thanked the wider away support for their participation with the tifo, and UEFA shared a positive tweet of their own.
And the Glasgow Celtic will be there

Such was the indelible impression that the Celtic support made, Danish football legend, Peter Schmeichel even moved to praise them, in a social media post which also retweeted the thanks of the local police.
