There’s no doubting that Celtic should be beating Ross County today. The Staggies have had a decent start to the season but look so vulnerable defensively, this is a chance for Celtic to get some goals and players to play their way into the upcoming Europa League games.
The suspension to Ryan Christie also looked like it might give Olivier Ntcham a chance to impress. The Frenchman hasn’t managed to nail down a regular starting spot since Neil Lennon took over with McGregor and Brown being the preferred central choices and Christie excelling further forward.

The Sun has reported that Ntcham suffered a training ground injury and now looks doubtful for the game. It’s a huge blow for the former Man City man because this was the perfect chance to show everybody what he can do.
It’s still not clear if he’s fully happy in Glasgow or will want to push for a move again in January, but he needs to be playing regularly no matter what his motivations are. If he wants to stay then brilliant, if he wants to put himself in the shop window then sitting in the stands won’t help that either.
If he does miss the game it will be interesting to see what the gaffer does in terms of his team selection. I still think pushing Scotty Sinclair inside to play off Edouard could be a masterstroke, but the Englishman still seems to be a bit out of favour.
No matter what team he picks, the team simply need to win today to return to the top of the league.
