‘Battle fever has commenced,’ Pre-match Segregation plans for Beautiful Sunday, Green Brigade’s Corteo

CELTIC SLO John Paul Taylor has alerted Celtic supporters going to the Glasgow Derby on Beautiful Sunday about the pre-match segregation plans. The away support will all be herded ‘like cattle’ into the away section before 11am and their turnstiles will be locked at that time, leaving all areas around Celtic Park available for the Good Guys to use.

Full details in JP’s tweet below, so please read, and one of the comments sums things up perfectly, “Gonna be a cracker JP, battle fever has commenced.”

And just as their turnstiles close the Green Brigade’s spectacular and colourful Corteo will set off for the match from outside the CSA on London Road. Worth getting along early to see this one folks, they are meeting at 10.45am for an 11am start.

Here’s a wee video to get you in the mood…

Odsonne Edouard had given Celtic a lead at the interval before Kent levelled the scores then the French striker set up Jamesy for a winner that effectively ended the Rangers league challenge. This was 2019’s first Beautiful Sunday.

After their Dead Rubber victory in May at Ibrox the Rangers were full of confidence ahead of Celtic’s next visit to Govan at the start of September – but goals from Edouard and Jonny Hayes gave Celtic an impressive 2-0 win. Beautiful Sunday number 2.

The teams next met in the League Cup Final earlier this month and a Christopher Jullien goal was enough to win the trophy – Celtic’s tenth in a row – for the Hoops. Beautiful Sunday number 3…
