‘Beating Rangers? The Sweetest Thing,’ Kieran Tierney

“Every time we beat them it feels sweet,” Kieran Tierney told the Beautiful Sunday edition of the Celtic View.

“A lot of off-field stuff was going on in the lead-up to this but I felt we answered a lot of critics in this game with our performance,” the Celtic star stated.

“If it wasn’t for their goalkeeper, it could have been more than 1-0.

“The counter-attack to get the goal was brilliant. The willingness for everyone to get up the park was phenomenal.

“Ollie’s composure to finish was brilliant. He works hard, like we all do, and he thoroughly deserved the goal.

“It summed up our performance. We deserved to win.”

Tierney meanwhile is about to discover the role that Alex McLeish has found for him in the Scotland side. Speaking on Radio Scotland the Scotland coach James McFadden admitted that the manager was planning to find a role in the side for both KT and the new Scotland captain Andy Robertson.

Robertson plays in the same left wing back position for Liverpool as Tierney does for Celtic.

McFadden also revealed that Tierney would NOT be used as a right back so it looks like he will be on the left of a back three or will play left back with Robertson pushed further forward.

Scotland play Belgium, with Dedryck Boyata likely to feature, tomorrow evening at Hampden in a friendly.
