‘Beyond buzzing’, Ally Johnston reacts to Celtic move

Celtic’s latest signing Ally Johnston has reacted to the move, stating he is ‘beyond buzzing’. The 24-year-old is the second signing of the January transfer window, following Yuki Kobayashi’s arrival.

Taking to Twitter, Johnston shared his thoughts stating that he can’t wait to get to Paradise.

Johnston arrives from CF Montreal on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee and will compete with Tony Ralston and Josip Juranovic for the right-back berth. Although, it may be a case that Johnston has been signed to replace the Croatian.

The club released an interview with Johnston, where the player struggles to stop smiling as he discusses his move to the Scottish Champions. The player also confirmed that Victor Wanyama helped convince him to swap the MLS for the Cinch.

It is believed that the total fee is in the region of €3,5m but this is yet to be confirmed.
