BR-Exit – The Rumbled Rhat and the Wild Rumours

JUST had a look at the Leicester City twitter feed and noticed this video they posted showing Rodgers and Co taking their first training session.

Apparently he is going to suggest that he left Celtic because the club told him to leave.

Have a look at this from @BrotherCeltic…

Some of the comments below…

“Mostly true,” said Richard McGinley from e-Tims.

“Dismaying, but after learning what went on behind the scenes over the last few days, I am not remotely surprised. For a man who talked about ‘character’ an awful lot, he certainly lacked it himself. We are better off out of it. Best of luck to Leicester,” commented Lainey_d.

“He has turned out to be a charlatan but this is utter p*sh that’s the 6th article I’ve read in the last 2 days plus 1 podcast all lining up to put the boot in he’s away now good riddance let’s move on and make sure we do the treble treble,” argued another supporter.

“Totally agree, the amount of utter lies being touted now (most to make the board look good) is ridiculous… Rodgers has done us in and that is clear but surely if all this skull duggery was happening we would have heard long before now,” said another.

“Bang on it’s getting embarrassing the shite people are putting out-a f*cking WhatsApp group with fat man and McCulloch,” was another comment.

“Moussa Dembele tried his best to warn us too and we thought he was a snake. We know different today Moussa was actually genuine in his words,” was another point made.

“Total lies. Come on Bhoys time to move on. Let’s get behind Lenny and ignore all the BR nonsense being peddled,” said another.

“Deffo a taxi drivers story, utter nonsense from start to finish imo, because if any of it was true we would know heehaw about it,” and on it goes…

It’s going to take a while for the real story to emerge if indeed it ever does.

What is clear though is that Rodgers has at best damaged and probably destroyed his reputation with The Celtic support for ever. Rod Stewart summed it up yesterday. If he’d waited until may he could have had a statute outside the ground then left as a legend.

Not now though. Rodgers completely misjudged his exit plan, probably due to greed, but it will be interesting to hear how he tries to spin it.
