Brace Yourselves! Peak ‘Banter Years’ Rumour, Morelos to Celtic!

“OOFT,” Barry McGonigle wrote on social media this morning, “apparently we are in talks with Morelos. Very good source that’s always bang on. Absolute carnage when we sign that boy from them.”

It would be a move that would outdo the notorious Maurice Johnston turning his back on a move back to Celtic from Nantes to join Rangers instead with David Murray apparently paying him a £1m tax-free sweetener.

It would certainly be a peak for the hilarious Banter Years over at Ibrox and their outrage would be a joy to behold. They certainly have got enough doom and gloom to contend with this morning after Aberdeen effectively ended their season last night by knocking them out of the Scottish Cup.

They need snookers in the league where they are eight points behind Celtic, but even with Steve Davis on the bench that looks unlikely to say the least.

Morelos signed a new contract last week with Phil stating that there was a £10million buy out clause included – can’t see Celtic paying THAT for HIM but it’s certainly a great rumour!

“This Morelos to us is gaining ground, not my ideal signing, but i’m sure under the right management he could be a cracking player for us,” Sean Gallagher noted.

“Seems to be some weight behind the Morelos stuff. Despite some earlier reservations, I’m right on board with it just for the utter sh*thousery of the whole situation. It would literally be peak Banter Years, count me in,” noted Michael Mclean.

“Alfredo Morales agent has contacted Celtic on different occaions. Not a windup,” says DBestseventy2.

And an elbuffalocsc T-shirt could be out soon!

As far as wind-ups go this one is a cracker! Can you imagine if it was actually true? Peak Banter Years right enough!
