Brendan must play Kyogo and Adam Idah against Saints

Brendan talking about getting a good performance and goals against St Johnstone, so maybe it’s time for two up top?…

Brendan Rodgers was speaking earlier this week in his Celtic TV interview of his desire to get the side motoring again while also adding a few goals to our game. No doubt with goal difference in mind as it could well prove to be a deciding factor come May.

It’s all well and fine taking about going on the all out attack, but if Brendan is going to be sticking with his usual rigid 4-3-3 formation with his repetitive passive approach, then in my view he’s sadly mistaken if he thinks it’s going to pay dividends.

We need to go with a two up top approach especially at home. Adam Idah and Kyogo both through the middle is the way to go. If we want to get goals then that’s the only reasonable solution.

Brendan’s tried and trusted method hasn’t paid off this season. We’ve already dropped points at home to tomorrow’s opponents, as well as Motherwell, Kilmarnock and of course suffered a defeat to Hearts at already this campaign.

Part of that was down to teams sussing us out because of our repetitive tactics. Has Brendan woken up and realised he needs to mix it up a little? Here’s hoping. A formation like this?
