Brendan Rodgers looks well and truly up for a title fight

Brendan looks up for the fight and that’s a very welcome sight indeed for the Celtic support…

A clip of Brendan Rodgers went viral on social media the other day and it had Celtic supporters all saying the same thing. Brendan Rodgers really is well and truly up for this title fight. The Celtic manager is usually a calm laid back individual, but after the vital Scottish  Premiership win at Easter Road he went against the grain and went into full battle mode as he roared” ‘flaming’ come on” (or something similar) in front of the travelling Celtic support, and much to their delight.

It was a welcome change to the usual thumbs up and clapping from the Irishman. He knows he’s in a battle, he knows he’s under pressure, but judging by his rallying cry, he is more than up for that challenge.

That is what us Celtic supporters want to see. It shows us that our manager has the appetite for a title challenge. The players will also be fired up for the challenge ahead, if they weren’t already. If that’s Brendan’s pubic showing, I can only imagine he’s even more vocal in the privacy of the Celtic dressing room.

Brendan has the tactical knowledge to lead us to success this season, that was never in doubt. Now he’s shown he has the passion to go with it has made us even more confident. Those who doubt our chances of winning the title should think again.

This brings the support closer to the manager and in turn the team, it puts fire in the belly and builds confidence that we are going to triumph. It’s as if Brendan is getting himself, his players and the support ready for what is sure to be a dramatic title run in. Let’s relish it and we’ll hopefully we will all get to enjoy the rewards come May, just, as Brendan promised us last June!

I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.

  1. No worries about the manager or most of our players fighting for the title, a section of the fan base are more of a concern, first sign of a title race and they bottle it. Actually think some were hoping we would get beat on Sunday. Some of the drivel they spout has you questioning their sanity.

  2. Title fight is from match day 1, not months down the line when his boring football negative has us in trouble.
