It’s fair to say anybody who likes to put Scottish football down didn’t see this one coming tonight. It was presumed by most of the world that Lazio would simply turn up and have too much for Celtic tonight.
Only that couldn’t be further from the truth. There were a few nervous moments but Celtic were good value for the win, it maybe started to look like a draw was inevitable until Jullien strode into the box to glance Ryan Christie’s corner beyond the keeper.
The atmosphere at Celtic Park on a European night is world famous, and this is yet another example of a “bigger” team not being able to play to their best and succumbing to a Celtic side being cheered on by the masses.

Obviously everybody will rightfully be delighted with the result, here’s a sample from Twitter to show just how pleased everyone is after the game:
Massive massive night at Celtic park brings a tear to my eye witnessing that HH

There’s a lot of love for Fraser Forster after that incredible late save, it shows how important it is to have a top level keeper when playing at the highest level. Scott Bain and Craig Gordon are fine in the league, but Forster is a class above and more than justified his signing here.
For anyone who hasn’t seen it or wants another look, here’s the incredible late save here:
Oh my word Fraser Forster! 🤯
A special, special save to secure the three points for Celtic!

It’s also pleasing to see Lazio hit with a late sucker punch after the behaviour from their fans earlier in the day. It’s doubtful that they will be marching around feeling so happy after that one!
