Celtic captain Callum McGregor has been included in the SPFL Team of the Week after Ange Postecoglou’s side beat Dundee United to reach The Scottish Cup Semi-Finals. McGregor opened the scoring before a brace from Giorgos Giakoumakis sealed the win for the Premiership league leaders.
Early in the first half, McGregor drove the ball with his left foot from the edge of the area and it appeared to take a nick on its way through to goal. Benjamin Siegrist was unable to stop this as the skipper set Celtic up on their way to a comfortable win in the City of Discovery.

McGregor, who has grown into the captaincy, was excellent in the centre of midfield once again. Having missed a penalty against Livi, McGregor will have been hoping to bulge the net and he did not have to wait for very long.
Celtic have drawn Rangers in the Semi-Final with the winners going on to face the victors in Hibernian-Hearts in the other semi. Ange’s team face Ross County at Paradise this weekend as they look to stretch the lead over Rangers, who play Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday.
