Cameron Carter-Vickers has been named as the SPFL’s Star Man of the week after his brilliant performance against theRangers at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon. The highly rated US international central defence is on a season long loan at Celtic with an option to buy and reports in the media this morning indicated that CCV is planning to stay at Celtic and experience Champions League football.
CCV got the winner at Ibrox and alongside the vastly under appreciated Carl Starfelt, dealt with anything and everything that happened in front of goalkeeper Joe Hart, who ended up having a quiet afternoon outside of glass collection duties. Maybe one decent save was the extent of the threat on the Celtic goal and that has to go down to a great team effort all round but in particular to Starfelt and the SPFL’s Star Man Cameron Carter-Vickers.
