Big CCV getting game time on international duty will benefit Celtic…

Cameron Carter Vickers is of course just back from injury, and a couple of weeks ahead of schedule which was a big boost indeed, considering our recent injury problems at the back.
The big man made a surprise return making the bench against Lazio a few weeks ago. He of course played the last 25 minutes or so and followed that up by starting against Kilmarnock, playing over an hour.

He was then surprisingly called up to the US national side and played a part in their two games against Germany and Ghana, playing a total of 43 minutes in the two games combined after making appearances from the bench.
No one likes club players going away on international duty but in big CCV’s case it will be more beneficial to us than a hindrance. It will have helped him greatly in his bid to get more match fitness as we head into a tough run of fixtures.

It will of course all benefit the side as we go into these games, starting today at Tynecastle where he could well start.
Cameron is such an important player for Celtic, our start to the season is all the more remarkable given that we’ve achieved the results we have with him missing. The Celtic defence will be stronger with him back and a tight and hostile Tynecastle is exactly the kind of place where he is most needed.
