Celtic make the journey to Edinburgh to face Heart of Midlothian. There will be just over 500 Celtic supporters in attendance after the Gorgie Road club decided to slash the allocation once more but, embarrassingly, they have not sold the tickets that they took from Celtic supporters.
Brendan Rodgers managed a win in his first match at Tynecastle back in 2016 and he will be hoping for three points as he returns to Edinbugh as Celtic manager.
Team News
Joe Hart, who has reportedly opened contract talks with Celtic, will start in between the sticks. In defence, we would expect Liam Scales to start alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers in the central pairing with Greg Taylor and Alistair Johnston operating in the full-back berths.
Celtic skipper Callum McGregor was rested for the Scotland friendly against France meaning he will be ready to face the Jambos. McGregor will likely be joined by Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley in the midfield.
Daizen Maeda had to withdraw from Japan National Team through injury but Brendan Rodgers has confirmed the attacker will be available for selection this afternoon. Expect him to start on the flanks with Luis Palma operating on the other side. Kyogo will start through the middle.
Maik Nawrocki has worked his way back from injury and is back in contention. However, Stephen Welsh and Liel Abada remain out.
Predicted XI: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate; Maeda, Kyogo, Palma.
Match Officials
Nick Walsh will have the whistle for the game this afternoon. Walsh will be assisted by Daniel McFarlane as well as Calum Spence. Colin Steven is operating as Fourth Official. Meanwhile, over at Clydesdale House, Andrew Dallas is on VAR duty with Graeme Leslie assisting.

The game kicks off at 2:15pm (Celtic Park Time) and don’t forget that the SWPL1 Glasgow Derby between Celtic and theRangers is live on Sky Sports with a 12 noon kick-off (COYGIG!).
