It’s important Celtic act swiftly this summer with a UEFA Champions League qualifier tie to negotiate in late August if we do indeed win the title this season. Given the league table as it stands, it seems very likely that Brendan Rodgers and his players will be celebrating like they’ve won the jackpot on bestcasinosites.ie when they wrap up a fourth consecutive title over the coming months. For those interested in adding some excitement to the outcome, betting on football matches has never been easier with plenty of options for fans. However, there’s no chance of the Celtic manager taking anything for granted. The focus and the intensity will remain until the final match of the campaign, hopefully at Hampden.
Planning will be underway for the summer transfer window
It’s vital we start planning ahead if we want to experience the highs of playing at the top level of European football And as we reach the business end of this season Celtic still have a lot to play for, such as clinching the league title for the fourth consecutive season and also winning the Scottish Cup for the third year in a row.
All that however doesn’t mean that we can’t focus ahead to next season in terms of our squad depth and quality. We’ve already secured the return of Kieran Tierney, but are still short of at least a minimum of four new faces.
Of course to balance any potential incomings there must be a few in the outgoing department also. The likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke , Luis Palma, Mark Nawrocki and most likely Greg Taylor will be moved on with question marks hanging over the likes of Kwon, Stephen Welsh and Marco Tilio.

Mathias Kvistgaarden – Hopefully third time lucky
That would allow us to bring in players for crucial areas such as a reliable back up to the injury prone Kieran Tierney, with a centre back, right sided winger and a centre forward, also at the top of the Celtic shopping list. It could be a case of possibly third time lucky for Brendan Rodgers in his attempt to sign Brondby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden.
It might seem a bit early to be thinking towards next season, but the club should be breaking the habit of a lifetime and looking to make sure we are ready for next season’s challenges.
Crucial that top stars are retained this summer
It’s also crucial that Celtic can hold onto star players like Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn both of whom have had outstanding seasons not only in domestic football but also in the Champions League. It’s not inconceivable that Celtic receive bids of over £25m for either or both of these players but it is crucial that both are retained for at least another campaign.
Celtic had such a positive experience in this season’s Champions League campaign and are now well equipped to do well in Europe’s elite club football competition. That’s left the Celtic support wanting more, and by planning ahead we can hugely increase our we chances of doing even better next season.
Four quality signings needed
Four quality signings, over and above the return of Kieran Tierney and partially funded by outgoing squad players should see Celtic much better placed to take our Champions League participation to another level and in doing so hammer home our domestic dominance in Scottish football. And let’s take a summer off from selling out top talent, despite the financial temptations to do so.
