The Celtic goalkeeper was a guest on Overlap’s ‘Stick to Football’ podcast
The 38 year-old shotstopper was the target of the Manchester United icon’s sharp remark during an episode of the Overlap’s ‘Stick to Football’ podcast.
The current Hoops no.1 was also accompanied by podcast regulars Gary Neville, Ian Wright and Jill Scott as the pursuit of another Scottish Premiership title edges closer.
“How much are Celtic paying you?”
The episode aired on Thursday morning, with a preview clip shared on X. Kasper Schmeichel was questioned about the aftershave he was wearing. Initially hesitant to divulge, the Great Dane disclosed that he was wearing “imagination” by Louis Vuitton. Roy Keane quickly responded with: “How much are Celtic paying you?”
Kapser’s father, Peter, appeared on the popular podcast late last year where he shared that his son’s historic title win with Leicester City was the highlight of his own professional career, even surpassing his trophy-laden nine years at Manchester United.

Brendan Rodgers signed Schmeichel for the Scottish champions last summer, where he has impressively secured 19 clean sheets in 29 league appearances.
Having strengthened Celtic’s goalkeeping department, Schmeichel now has the opportunity to enjoy a dream conclusion to the season as the club aims for a Treble of domestic trophies.
