Celtic ‘B’ go into break 2-0 up against Berwick

Celtic B have finally found their footsteps in the Lowland League after their opening day humiliation. Having lost to Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic on gameweek 1, Tommy McIntyre’s side have booked their ideas up and finally started to go on a winning spree.

Said spree seems as though it will continue today, as the young Bhoys are 2-0 up at home to Berwick Rangers, thanks to goals from Rocco Vata and Adam Brooks.

Rocco, son of ex-Hoop Rudi, is just 15 years of age; yet having scored against Berwick, has shown he is capable of lower league football already.

The opener consisted of an excellent assist from Celtic B’s star man Owen Moffat – who seems to be involved in everything Celtic do – as his excellent assist evaded the Berwick defence, leaving Vata to smash the ball into the top corner.

And Adam Brooks doubled the advantage just 15 minutes later with a calm and assured finish infront of goal to put the Young Bhoys 2-0 up at the interval. Let’s hope they can improve on their early showings – come on Celtic.
