The SPFL Trust Trophy 3rd Round Draw has taken place this afternoon over at Firhill and the news for Celtic supporters is that the Celtic B Team will play Dunfermline away from home.
It’s the young Hoops’ reward for beating Albion Rovers (3-2) in the first round and Livingston B last week by 3-0 in round two of the trophy which also featured clubs from Ireland and Wales.
The Championship sides are also in this competition so it’s possibly going to be a tall order expecting that the Celtic B team, who won 5-0 at the weekend in the Lowland League.
The 3rd round ties for The SPFL Trust Trophy are scheduled to take place on the weekend of 24/25 September and hopefully we’ll see a decent travelling support heading through to East end Park to cheer on Stephen McManus and Darren O’Dea’s exciting young team.

While Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic hit Dundee United for nine yesterday and that was followed by Fran Alonso’s Celtic Fc Women side scoring eight against Motherwell – both without conceding – it should be noted that the B team got the ball rolling into the opposition’s net on Saturday with their five goal feast against Dalbeattie Star.
