Celtic break social media ‘radio silence’ then supporters make their feelings clear

After a day of ‘radio silence’ the official Celtic Twitter feed is back this morning with news on the new upgraded Celtic website. The last tweet posted was on Sunday to wish Scott Bain an happy birthday but since then there’s been nothing at all, although CELTIC FC Women have been tweeting in the aftermath of their exciting performance in the 6-2 win away to Hibs.

“Work is being carried out on the main club website,” Celtic tweeted this morning, “today which may result in periods of downtime. We will try to keep disruption to a minimum,” they advised, before adding that “the Celtic FC Shop will not be affected and remains open.”

The Celtic Supporters who have responded to this have only one thing on their mind, and it is not either the rather impressive new club website (a real upgrade if you like) or even Christmas shoppin but a managerial and coaching upgrade. It’s not going to be pleasant reading for the poor old social media chaps at the club…

Some responses…”Good to see you found your login, not the tweet we are all wanting though”…”Announce the new website with news that Lennon has been relieved of his duties”…”Can give Lennon his P45 while you at it?”…”Lennon out now”…”Neil Lennon’s p45 first on your list”…”Who gives a flying f about a website! 10iar! Sort it out eh”…”Don’t think the twitter admin has got much of a say on the infield side a things mate”…”thanks for reminding us we can also still give you money but i don’t think many of us are in the mood to do that tbh”…”Found the login again have we? Got to keep promoting the shop eh?”…”I’d honestly just stay away from the twitter account for a while champ “…

…”Ignoring us fans and our overwhelming demands just shows how little the club cares, our so called club that was set up as a charity does nothing but try sell us stuff on the store, promote gin and betting companies, it’s a joke, this club has sold its soul”…

…”While no work to improve the coaching of the unfit squad will take place”…”SACK LENNON AND STOP TRYING TO TAKE OUR MONEY!!!!! WE WANT 10 IN A ROW, LENNON CANNOT DELIVER IT, REPLACE HIM OR LOSE OUR MONEY..” (caps from poster)…”We as fans should be boycotting all sources of revenue until such times as this board treats us with respect. All the board show the fans is disdain over and over again. We as a club need a clear direction.
What has gone on is gross neglect at the hands of ‘business’ men”…

…”Hopefully that work is a new manager announcement video upload”…”Is there any framed prints of Neil Lennons resignation letter on sale in the shop?”

And on it goes.
