Celtic can benefit from Dens downpour, Kyogo decides who wins

This Dundee v theRangers rearranged game can actually benefit Celtic. We must be ready to take full advantage and it’s Kyogo who usually determines the outcome in a Glasgow Derby…

It was announced yesterday that theRangers re-arranged game away to Dundee will take place on Wednesday 10th April, that’s three days after the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox.

The angry bears were frothing at the mouth at the thought of the game being pencilled in just before the vital derby clash at Ibrox. They were all convinced that the SPFL would allocate the re-arranged game just days before Celtic travel to Ibrox. But they needn’t have worried the SPFL bent over backwards to assist. Favouring Dundee’s request to play the match the week before was rejected. They would never let that happen would they?

Despite what the Bears think about the governing body, they will always seem to have their back. It’s just the way it is, no matter what their deluded minds believe. They also believe that the referees are against them, a remarkable position to take given the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I’m not too bothered about the re-arranged date for this game as I still think it can work out in our favour. Presuming we beat Livingston at the end of the month and theRangers beat Hibs, then we will head into the Derby clash as league leaders with a solitary point lead.

Yes theRangers might have the ascendency as the home side with the entire stadium behind them with the chance to go top, and the chance to further stretch their lead a few days later. But they should be mindful of Brendan Rodgers’ record at their place and the fact that they are going to come at Celtic with all guns blazing is going to leave ample opportunity for our wingers and Kyogo, who likes a goal against them.

Them being at home with no away supporters in the stadium  brings its own pressure. They will head into the game as favourites and their supporters will be expecting nothing less than a victory. We all know how they handle the pressure so it’s up to us to take advantage and turn the heat up. Celtic supporters will NOT consider them to be favourites and with good reason. The only time the have beaten Celtic in the last year or so was in that dead rubber, when it mattered not.  Every meaningful game Kyogo has decided the outcome, including both matches this season.

If we want to win the title then we have to go into the cauldron that is Ibrox and come away with all three points. We’ve already done it this season so we know it can be done. Do it again and we will be on course for three in a row. Our destiny is in our hands. It’s time to take advantage.
