Celtic celebrate Centurion James Forrest with commemorative shirt

Celtic Football Club have honoured Centurion, James Forrest on hitting 100 goals for the club with a commemorative shirt. The Scotland international has enjoyed 13 wonderful seasons at Parkhead and has been with the club through thick and thin.

James spectacularly scored a hat-trick when he was on the cusp of 100 goals in a Scottish Premiership match against Hibernian earlier this year and the home grown talent has certainly proved his worth to various Celtic bosses throughout the club’s recent history.

In a special touch, the Hoops had fellow academy graduate and current Celtic captain, Callum McGregor to gift James this wonderful, celebratory offcial replica shirt. On the back, it has the number 100 with Forrest’s name above and it looks as though it has been signed with well-wishes all over.

It’s a fitting tribute to a man that has endured with us, the supporters throughout his tenure. Celtic posted the following image of the two Bhoys on Twitter saying:

“James Forrest! 🙌 On Friday, Club captain Callum McGregor presented James Forrest with a special jersey to mark the winger hitting the 100 #Celtic goals milestone! 💯 #COYBIG”

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
