Daizen Maeda wishes Celtic teammate Josip Juranovic good luck in World Cup tie

Following the heart-breaking pictures of Daizen Maeda crying and looking rather sombre and the equally as emotional images of his Celtic comrade, Josip Juranovic kissing his forehead to console him, Celtic have posted more wholesome content today.

The club have posted side-by-side images of the players; the aforementioned World Cup embrace and another at Celtic where they are hugging on the field of play after celebrating a goal together for the Hoops. Underneath these wonderful images, the media team have copied in Daizen Maeda’s Instagram post where he wishes Josip the best of luck in the Quarter-final against Brazil.

The club have captioned it: “Wholesome Daizen Maeda content”, whilst the caption below of the Japanese forward reads: “Good luck Jura, See you in Glasgow”.

It’s a truly heart-warming gesture from Maeda and it really does typify the love this current group of Celtic players have for one another.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
