Celtic closing in on appointment of Wilfried Nancy

Celtic are reportedly closing in on the appointment of Wilfried Nancy. The Scottish Champions have been in the hunt for a new manager after Brendan Rodgers’ shock departure last month with club legend Martin O’Neill stepping in on an interim basis.

The Columbus Crew manager has emerged as Celtic’s primary target with Paul Tisdale’s influence becoming apparent. According to Sky Sports, Celtic are in advanced talks with Nancy and the club are looking to secure a deal to bring the Frenchman along with his backroom team.

Nancy is believed to be joined by Kwame Ampadu and Yoann Dammet along with a Scottish coach with an association with Celtic. This could very well be someone that is already at the club, such as Gavin Strachan or Mark Fotheringham.
