Celtic confirm that Scott Robertson has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan

Celtic today agreed to send midfielder Scott Robertson back out on loan – this time to Doncaster Rovers. The 19 year old was doing well on loan down at Gillingham but was recalled back to Paradise due to the post Dubai player shortage – where 13 Celtic stars had to self isolate thus missing the drawn games against Hibs and Livingston at Celtic Park.

Strangely though, despite the shortage of first team players, and the fact that he’d been recalled from Sky Bet League One side Gillingham, Robertson was not called into action in either of these two matches.

Robertson now though is away back to England where he will play for Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season. The Celtic midfielder made 19 appearances in all competitions for Steve Evans’ side before being recalled due to the Dubai fiasco. He becomes Rovers’ fourth signing of the week, and has signed in time to be included in Darren Moore’s squad for the trip to Lincoln City on later today.
