Celtic confirm the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Celtic have confirmed the signing of former Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 32-year-old arrives on a deal until the end of the season with an option to extend for a further year.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joins Celtic as Martin O’Neill looks to bring success to the club this season. The Ox, who has a number of honours already to his name, will be keen to play his part.

Celtic have secured a deal until the end of the season but there will be an option to extend for a year. A Premier League and European Champion with Liverpool, Martin O’Neill has been positive about the player and keen to add him.

There had been rumours that a deal for Oxlade-Chamberlain had stalled due to the length of contract as well as the fact that the former England Internationalist would not be included in the club’s Europa League squad.
